Meet the Team
Glennard
Glennard is the co-founder of Ugly Wood Company, as well as the lead craftsman and designer of our products. He enjoys building exciting new pieces for clients with vastly different needs and learning more about them in the process.
Glennard got his start as a designer upon completing the Master’s of Architecture program in the National University of Singapore. However, he left the construction industry when he was inspired to build something handmade and at a scale that everyone can appreciate.
In his spare time, Glennard looks at videos of puppies on TikTok.
Nicole
Nicole is also the co-founder of Ugly Wood Company. Currently, she manages everything except wood. Most of her free time is spent on creating content and editing videos for our social media feed. Speaking of which, do remember to like & follow us on Instagram and Tiktok.
While Glennard is busy building furniture, Nicole does her best to keep the website updated, the social media fresh and the customers happy :)
In her spare time, she also looks at videos of puppies on TikTok with her husband.

About Us
What is Ugly Wood Company and what do you do?
We are a local, homegrown company that specialises in making custom wooden gifts and furniture. We enjoy speaking to each client to understand their needs to create the perfect piece for each individual.
We also provide introductory classes to woodworking for beginners who want to try their hands on this experience.
We’re proud to be a family-owned business, in that the business owner has, in fact, a family.

Singapore!
Why are your products so expensive?
Because importing wood to Singapore is so expensive!
The lumber that we source are from trusted vendors and each timber board is carefully inspected during each phase of production. We do rigorous quality control for both natural hardwoods sourced directly from suppliers or the recycled cut-offs we collect from large, external factories as part of our sustainable initiatives.
How do I request for a product that’s not listed on the website?
